Every week there are news reports of data breaches from major organisations and companies. All too often these breaches include customers’ email addresses and passwords. The majority of people use the same details for multiple accounts, from shopping websites to banking details to company logins. If those accounts are hacked, your stolen password details often end up on the dark web.
If you or your staff use the same password all the time, chances are hackers can access your company and steal your customers’ or your suppliers’ data. They can then contact your customers or suppliers. They can pose as your company to defraud or steal from your customers or suppliers. This can result in the loss of thousands of pounds.
